Tom Kimbel, a Jackson police officer for 17 years who is now retired, will fill the open seat on the Jackson Board of Aldermen, voters decided Tuesday. Kimbel beat out businessman Ron Clark with 60 percent of the vote. Kimbel received 113 votes, while Clark received 74 votes.
