CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Ada Marie Carroll, 68, of Chaffee died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at her home.
She was born Aug. 7, 1942, in Chaffee, daughter of Henry A. and Stella Marie Sanders Nordin. She and Eugene Carroll were married Nov. 10, 1956. He died Dec. 5, 2003.
Ada was a machine operator with Blair Industries in Scott City. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Rockview, Mo., since 2000 and attended all meetings as well as attended Sunday school regularly. She also belonged to the Women's Prayer Group on Thursday nights.
She always spoke out about different things. She was always giving, buying Bibles for people, and willing to help out at church, especially in prayer. Ada served in every way possible.
Survivors include a son, Rocky Carroll of Chaffee; a daughter, Tina (Mike) Bradley of Chaffee; four brothers, Scotty Nordin of Pocahontas, Rodney Nordin of St. Louis, Anthony and Ronnie Carroll of Rockview; two sisters, Ruth Ann Hailey and Lawana Gene Bounds of Chaffee; three grandchildren, Travis (Marsha) Carroll, Daniel (Rhonda) Carroll, Amanda Bradley; four great-grandchildren, Destin, Mason, Kaya and Millie Carroll; and an expected great-grandchild, Cooper Bradley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse and three brothers.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Rev. J. Michael Davis will officiate, assisted by the Rev. John Nimmo. Burial will be in Belk Hill Cemetery at Rockview.
