The second annual Walk for Life, sponsored by the AIDS Project of Southeast Missouri, will be held April 30.

The four-mile walk in and around Capaha Park will begin at 8:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to solicit pledges on a per-mile basis or for the entire walk, said Ted Fedler, AIDS Project president.

Each participant with $15 in pledges will receive a free T-shirt. Additionally, prizes will be awarded to those who collect the most pledges and turn them in to the registration table prior to the walk.

Fedler said the Walk for Life is the largest fund-raising event for the AIDS Project of Southeast Missouri. The money raised goes to direct client care.
