VETERANS HOME NURSING ASSISTANTS TO HAVE BAKE SALE
The certified nursing assistants at the Cape Girardeau Missouri Veterans Home will hold a bake sale and white elephant sale in the Veterans Home lobby from 7 to 10 a.m. and from 2 to 4 p.m. today. Proceeds will help fund more extensive participation of Veterans Home nursing assistants in training, motivational and recognition programs sponsored by the National Association of Geriatric Nursing Assistants.
The Veterans Home pays the association's dues for certified nursing assistants. Fund-raising events will, for example, help cover travel costs to enable more nursing assistants to attend the annual national association's convention.
