Noranda seeks help from the state

The late January ice storm was hard on many people and businesses in Southeast Missouri — about 6,000 people were still without power this morning. Few businesses were hit harder than Noranda Aluminum. The New Madrid County aluminum manufacturer requires massive amounts of energy to operate and had to be shut down during the outages.
