The 1998 and 1999 Sundancer teams both finished seventh in the final national rankings. This year's competition will be televised on the CBS and USA networks on April 15 and May 7.

The Southeast team is the only Ohio Valley Conference squad to qualify for this year's national championships.

"This is one of our most talented teams ever, and we have already been ranked among the top 10 teams in the nation," said Sundancer coach Suzanne Vaughan.

Only 20 Division I schools from across the nation qualify for the championships.

The Sundancers' new routine is a tribute to the Broadway musicals. "We are putting it all on the line. Hopefully, the judges cannot forget us," said Sundancer Kelly Wolverton.
