CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Three Southeast Missouri State University students were among 180 students from across the state invited to attend the 1991 Governor's Leadership Forum.
The forum was held Jan. 8-10 in Jefferson City.
Juniors Kim Holshouser and Kristen Dreyer, both of Cape Girardeau, and sophomore Steve Nenninger of Leopold represented Southeast at the fourth annual forum.
The students were nominated by Southeast president, Dr. Kala Stroup.
The three students serve as presidential ambassadors at Southeast and are active in campus organizations. Holshouser and Dreyer are members of Delta Delta Delta social sorority and Nenninger is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity.
The focus of the forum was "Faith and Values in Leadership." Forum participants met with Gov. John Ashcroft; listened to speeches by St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Todd Worrell, 1989 Miss America Debbye Turner and industrial leaders; and participated in discussions.
