Construction of a new parking structure at Southeast Missouri State University's New Madrid Street lot will force some students to find elsewhere to park on campus for the next several months.
About 500 student parking spaces in so-called "Pig Lot" will be fenced off for the next several months while a contractor constructs a new, two-story parking structure.
The work is scheduled to start on March 19 and be completed by mid-August, university officials said.
School officials said other surface parking is available near the Show Me Center on the north end of campus and by Houck Field House and in the former First Baptist Church lot on the south end of campus.
