Southeast Missouri State University will celebrate International Week, April 2-8.
The celebration will kick off with a food fair from 2-5 p.m. on April 2 at the Student Recreation Center. International students will provide free food and entertainment.
On April 3, former U.S. senator Paul Simon of Illinois will lecture in the University Center Ballroom. He will discuss the importance of international education and study abroad.
Liliana Trevizan, a native of Chile, will deliver a Common Hour lecture on April 5 at 12:30 p.m. in Academic Auditorium.
A Germanfest also will take place April 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of Kent Library. It will feature bratwurst and German music.
On April 6, there will be a presentation on Japanese business practices and a tea ceremony will be performed in Glenn Auditorium at 4 p.m.
An Indian Hindu wedding presentation and dinner will take place April 7 from 6-8 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.
The week will conclude with a dessert and coffee reception hosted by the Friends of International Education.
