The Non-Traditional Student Association at Southeast Missouri State University will hold a "Thank Goodness It's Summer" picnic Saturday in Cape Girardeau County Park.
The picnic, celebrating the end of the spring semester, is scheduled for 3 to 7 p.m. at Shelter No. 8 and is open to all non-traditional students attending Southeast, their families and friends, organizers said.
Hot dogs, drinks and table services will be provided.
Non-traditional students are at least 25 years old or single, married, widowed or divorced with dependent children. The group also includes veterans, holders of GEDs, or individuals returning to college after one or more years of absence from formal schooling.
Southeast officials say non-traditional students account for more than 25 percent of the student body.
The picnic will feature several games and events for all age groups, organizers said.
