Former U.S. deputy National Security adviser Stephen Yates and National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation president Mark Mix will be the keynote speakers at the 48th annual Lincoln Day Dinner and Celebration in April.
The Cape County Republican Women’s Cub will host the event April 1 at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau.
Eddy Justice, 8th District congressional committee chairman, will emcee the event, according to a news release.
Special guests will be retired Cape Girardeau police officer Barry Hovis, local Republican Party member Doug Austin and Cape Girardeau County Sheriff John Jordan.
This year’s celebration will include a special tribute to law enforcement, organizers said in the release.
Doors will open at 4 p.m., with a social “meet and greet” until 5:30 p.m.
The Cape Girardeau County Republican Central Committee will host a silent auction at the same time.
Tractors Classic American Grill of Jackson will cater the meal. A cash bar will be available.
Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door, according to the news release.

Yates, one of the featured speakers, has served as a senior adviser to presidential campaigns and is a frequent media commentator.
He is CEO of DC International Advisory, which assesses political risk and opportunity in key capitals and regions worldwide, according to the release.
Yates served in the White House as deputy assistant to the vice president for national security affairs from 2001 through 2005.
Mix, the other featured speaker, leads the National Right to Work committee, a 2.8 million-member public policy organization.
The companion Right to Work National Legal Defense Foundation provides free legal assistance to workers and seeks to “protect workers from the abuses of compulsory unionism,” according to the news release.
