JACKSON -- Over 100 old photographs of Jackson will be displayed this week during the Jackson Homecomers celebration.
The pictures include photographs depicting past Jackson Homecomers celebrations. "Some of these pictures have never been seen by the public before," said Lee Fronabarger of the Jackson Heritage Association, sponsor of the display.
The public will have a chance to view the collection of old photographs from 6-9 p.m., today through Saturday, at the Andrew Jackson store at the corner of West Main and South High streets. There is a $1 admission charge, Fronabarger said.
A Homecomers reunion booklet of 1908 has been reprinted. The Heritage Association is selling copies for $3. The price includes admission to the photographic display.
The booklet is available at the Andrew Jackson store, Lohman Shoe Store, Jackson Rexall Drugs, Young's Thriftway Drugs, Medicap Pharmacy, Cracraft-Miller Furniture, Jones Drug Store, Horst Pharmacy and the Cash-Book Journal.
Proceeds from sales of the booklet will help fund historical projects of the association, Fronabarger said.
