CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The Southeast Missouri State University College of Education will hold its annual honors and awards banquet today in the University Center Ballroom.
A social hour is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the University Center Party Room with a dinner to follow at 6:30 p.m. in the ballroom.
As part of the banquet, the college will honor four retiring faculty members who together have served the university for 72 years. They are: Dr. William C. Hoover, professor of educational administration and counseling who has served for 17 years; Dr. Russell M. Johnson, professor of elementary and special education who also has served for 17 years; Dr. Ann M. McConnell, associate professor of physical education who has served for 10 years; and Dr. Willard J. Morgan, professor of educational administration and counseling who has served for 28 years.
In addition, several College of Education students will be recognized for outstanding academic achievements during the past academic year. Recipients of the Dean's Scholarship Awards for the 1991-92 academic year will be announced.
