A "Mega-Lockout," sponsored by the Cape Girardeau area Christian Youth Association, will be held this weekend at the Student Recreation Center on the Southeast Missouri State University campus.
The lockout for youth in grades 7-12 will begin at 9 p.m. Friday and conclude at 7 a.m. Saturday, said Phillip Roop, head of the Christian Youth Association (CYA).
"We expect about 350 to 400 people," said Roop.
The lockout will feature a number of activities, including volleyball, racquetball and a climbing wall. Participants will also have an opportunity to bowl at West Park Lanes.
A concert will be presented by Lost and Found, a contemporary Christian group, Roop said.
Pizza will be served at the lockout and there will be prizes given in connection with the various games, he said.
The cost to attend is $8. Tickets can be purchased at Bethel Assembly of God Church and Red Star Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, and the First Baptist Church in Jackson.
