Four people were injured in two accidents over the weekend, including three Oak Ridge residents who were in a two-vehicle accident early Saturday, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.
The two-car accident occurred at 5:30 a.m. on Highway 72, three miles west of Jackson, Mo. Joshua Burger, 18, was driving west. His vehicle crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Janet Smith, 43.
Both drivers were injured, as was Smith's 15-year-old son, Dusty. All three were taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital.
An accident at 9:30 p.m. Friday in Oran, Mo., injured Charles Sallee, 33, of Oran. Sallee was a passenger on a four-wheeler driven by Leon Phillips, 22, of Oran. Sallee's leg was caught by a tire while the vehicle was moving, the patrol said. He was treated at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
No condition reports were available from hospital personnel Saturday night.
