Record crowd attends Cape Comic Con

The 2019 Cape Comic Con set attendance records. And it sure was a lot of fun.

As is the case every year, super fans showed up with costumes to the Osage Centre, and visited the booths, but also got to visit with stars from some of their favorite universes, including the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a voice actor from Pokemon, an actor from the Munsters, a comic book author and professional wrestler Road Warrior Animal.

About 5,200 people attended this year's event, up about 400 over last year for the event, that just keeps growing.

We always enjoy seeing people dressed up in their costumes. It's such fun.

A special shout out goes to the Spurgeon family, who allowed journalist Kassi Jackson to hang out with them as they created their "Men in Tights" costume, and explained why they love the comic con so much.

Our culture reporter, Joshua Hartwig, was in his natural element, and did a fantastic job covering the event. Hartwig is a huge Power Rangers fan himself, a collector of memorabilia.

The star behind the scenes is of course Ken Murphy. He and his family plan the event all year, and put on a good show, because they love doing it.

Thanks for another fun, fabulous weekend at the comic con.
