Thanks for food drive support

To the editor:

On behalf of the Shawnee District of the Boy Scouts of America Scouts and adult volunteers, we extend our thanks to this region for a successful Scouting for Food event. Local residents within the district contributed over 71,000 food items that will furnish area food pantries. We would like to thank Bob Reeves for chairing the Scouting for Food Committee and Jerry Siemers for coordinating the district troops and packs. Special thanks to KZIM-AM and KISS-FM for promoting the activity.
