LETTERS: HE'S GUILTY -- BUT NOT ACCOUNTABLE?

To the editor:

As I watched the proceedings and debate of the House Judiciary Committee and the full House regarding charges against our president, I was astonished with the rhetoric, especially when espoused by the Clintonites. The summation of all their effort is nothing more or less than admitting guilt but clamoring for -- yes, even demanding -- that nothing be done to hold him accountable. Absolutely nothing could be said to tone down their ridicule and often shrill and almost screaming denunciation of those with opposing views.

And when they lost the vote they so passionately sought, walking out of the most powerful chamber in the land, I was reminded of little kids who were taking their marbles and going home just because they didn't get their way. It is a very sobering thought that these are the people who are making our laws, spending multiple billions of taxpayer dollars. If they will expose themselves to such public shame in this fashion, one cannot help but wonder to what lengths they will go to protect their turf and promote their agendas in all other areas of government.

I did learn the definition of bipartisan. It is voting with the Democrats.
