LETTERS: DONATIONS SOUGHT FOR BOSNIAN REFUGEES

This article comes from our electronic archive and has not been reviewed. It may contain glitches.

To the editor:

I'm a former resident of Bollinger County. I am working with civilians and members of our military in Bosnia-Herzegovina who make trips to various camps to deliver donated items as they become available.

There are currently thousands of people in Bosnia-Herzegovina residing in camps and orphanages who desperately need our ongoing help. These people are very respectful and would appreciate anything we can do for them.

In particular, these people need coats and clothing of any type or size, shoes, winter hats, gloves, personal hygiene items, soap, towels, cookware, dishes, flatware, nonperishable packaged food and candy, school supplies, stuffed animals and toys, dolls, bedding everything and anything.

If you have any new or used nonmonetary items to contribute, please mail them to us for distribution. Our address: Jeffery Estes, Lockheed Martin, M/F Humanitarian Aid, OJF/Comanche Base-Bosnia, APO AE 09789.

You may rest assured that all humanitarian donations received will be distributed without delay. Please do not send cash, checks or money orders. I am making this request as a concerned individual and not on behalf of my employer or the U.S. armed forces.

Please feel free to pass this request on to all individuals, church groups and organizations that you believe might be interested in participating.
