Let politicians help with vaccine

To the editor:

In response to "Scott County's rare commodity -- flu vaccine": If the health department in the country where this tainted flu vaccine was made hadn't done something to stop the manufacturing of the vaccine, there would have been a lot of tainted vaccine being injected into people's bodies. Over a third of the vaccine was left unused last year. You can almost bet that there is too much red tape for the vaccine to get where it is needed. The politicians should be doing a better job of getting the vaccine to where it needs to go. The vaccine is used to keep people well, and who is it that put our politicians in office? The people.
