ADVANCE, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Woodfin of Advance celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception Saturday at Bethel General Baptist Church. Hosts were their children.
Woodfin and Gavada Corbin were married Jan. 16, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.
Woodfin is a World War II veteran. He was self-employed. Mrs. Woodfin was a teacher 38 years in the Zalma School District at Zalma, Mo. They are longtime residents of Stoddard and Bollinger counties, and longtime members of Bethel General Baptist Church.
They have three children, Beverly Woodfin Leslie of Clarksville, Ind., Stan (Andi) Woodfin of Oran, Mo., and Todd (Cheryl) Woodfin of Advance. The couple has seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
