Wilkes are married 55 years

Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Wilke of Cape Girardeau recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Wilke and Alberta Biester were married March 4, 1951, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit, by the Rev. H.J. Strickert.

Their children and spouses are Veronica and Larry Prost, Michael and Janean Wilke, Allen and Kim Wilke, all of Cape Girardeau, and Paulette and Bob Williams of Jackson.

They have 12 grandchildren, Chris and wife Heather Parsons, Nick Parsons; Vince Prost; Derek and Nathan Rogers; Brandon, Diana and Matt Wilke; Jared, Amber, Devon and Brooke Wilke; and two great-granddaughters, Eddlyn and Rachael Parsons.
