Welkers are married 40 years

Mr. and Mrs. Richard D. Welker of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary March 4, 2006.

Welker and Judith Anne Smithey were married March 4, 1966, at West Side Church of God by the Rev. James Holm.

Their daughters and sons-in-law are Sara and Ben Quick of Anna, Ill., Brooke and Tom Breuer of Jackson, Rachel and Rodney Durham of Cape Girardeau. A son died May 15, 1972.

The couple also has four grandchildren, Anna and Keller Breuer of Jackson, Gentry Quick of Anna, and Wyatt Durham of Cape Girardeau.
