Umfleets mark 40th event

Larry and Carol Umfleet of Scott City recently celebrated their 40th anniversary during a Caribbean cruise to Mexico.

Umfleet and Carol Duncan were married Feb. 15, 1964, at First Baptist Church in Delta by the Rev. Ray Barnes. Their attendants were Sharon Kirchhoff, sister of the bride, and Donald Umfleet, brother of the groom.

The couple has four children, Robin McKinley of Cape Girardeau, Jeff Umfleet of Calvert City, Ky., Sheila Umfleet of Benton, Mo., and Michael Umfleet of Scott City. The Umfleets have six grandchildren.
