Tyler - 45 Years

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- James A. and Barb Tyler of Chaffee celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary with a dinner party Oct. 19, 2013, at Chaffee Nutrition Center.

Assisting with the event were the couple's children, Clint and Courtnie Tyler, and Sabrina Tyler Pobst and husband Jason.

Guests included family, and friends from school and their work places.

The Tylers were married Oct. 5, 1968, in Oran, Mo. Their attendants were John (deceased) and Pat Uptain, sister of Mrs. Tyler.

James retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 2000, then drove school buses for Chaffee and Scott County Central. He also kept score books for Scott County Central Braves basketball team many years.

Barb was in education from 1957 until retiring in 2011. She was a teacher and principal in grade school and junior high, serving as principal almost 20 years. She ended her career as an English teacher at Three Rivers Community College.

Grandchildren include Clint and Courtnie's children, Jonathon, Jada, Miranda, Carson and Landry Kate; and Jason and Sabrina's children, Anna Ruth and Connor Louis.
