Smith - 50 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel D. Smith of Cape Girardeau will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house and reception July 30, 2011, at Lynwood Baptist Church. Hosts will be their children and grandchildren.

Smith and Ermalee Eaker were married June 24, 1961, at Bethany Baptist Church, by the Rev. W.O. Liley, uncle of Mrs. Smith. Maid of honor was Myra Jean Kight of Arbor, Mo., and best man was James Gloth of Delta.

The couple has three children, Jeff (Dawn) Smith, Sid (Cherie) Smith, and Penny (Bob) Stagner, all of Cape Girardeau. They have five grandchildren, Jeremy (Julie) Bey, Garrett Smith, Blake and Alex Stagner, and Sophia Smith.
