Skeltons are married 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Skelton of Gordonville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner Nov. 19, 2005, at Mollies Cafe and Bar in Cape Girardeau.

Skelton and Cadidad Sosa Roca were married Nov. 19, 1955, in the chapel at Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico.

Maid of honor was Flores Angeles de la Cruz, cousin of the bride. Best man was Don Cunningham.

Their children and spouses are: Pearla and Terry Smith, Steve and Susan Skelton, Kent and Donna Skelton, all of Jackson, and Keith and Alice Skelton of Oak Ridge. Steve is stationed in Iraq.

The Skeltons have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
