Shepards married 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shepard of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 4, 2007, by attending Bethany Baptist Church and going to dinner with their family.

Shepard and Velma Ackman were married March 2, 1957, by the Rev. Owen Dahlor at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Their attendants were Doloris and the late Bob Myer of Jackson.

The couple has two daughters, Sandy (Bill) Lincoln of Leopold, Mo., and Terri (Gary) Shetley of Fredericktown, Mo.

They have five grandchildren, Will and Dale Lincoln, Addie Shetley, Brylan and Tasha Moore.
