OLD APPLETON, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Ruben "Rip" Schnurbusch of Old Appleton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a Mass and dinner reception Oct. 19, 2008.

The Mass was held at St. Joseph Church at Apple Creek, and the dinner reception was held at the Colinade Room in Perryville, Mo.

Schnurbusch and Verda Weisbrod were married Oct. 23, 1948, at St. Joseph Church. Their attendants were Betty Rellergert, Marilyn Weisbrod, Jeannie Piwowarczyk, Charles Unterreiner, Earl Weisbrod, and the late Raymond "Bob" Schnurbusch.

The couple has five children, Terry (Cheryl) Schnurbusch and Donna (Larry) Zoellner of Uniontown, Mo., Bruce (Debbie) Schnurbusch of New Wells, Karen (Mike) Ochs of Lithium, Mo., and Keith (Paula) Schnurbusch of Perryville.

They have 13 grandchildren, Julie (Jason) Kirkpatrick, Holly Zoellner, Jared (Renea) Schnurbusch, Jenny Werner, Ashly (Ed) Richardet, Dustin Ochs, Daniel Ochs, Jacob Schnurbusch, Derrek Ochs, and Kaleb, Kaitlyn, Trevor and Addilyn Schnurbusch. They have two great-grandchildren, Dayton Ochs and Chloe Kirkpatrick, and a deceased great-grandchild, Tate Werner.
