Sanders mark golden event

Herb and Lois Sanders of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception June 26, 2004, in the fellowship hall of First Free Will Baptist Church.

Hosts were their children and grandchildren: Bill Sanders and son Bill Jr. of Cape Girardeau; Jim and Stacia Sanders and children Wes, Alicia, Jameson and Reggie of Eureka, Mo.; and Nancy and Craig Harrison and sons Daniel and Matthew of Glenview, Ill.

The couple was married June 27, 1954, at First Baptist Church in Bellflower, Mo., by the Rev. David Sidwell. Their attendants were Merle Owen Winter, sister of Mrs. Sanders, and Milton Sanders, brother of Sanders.
