Mr. and Mrs. Darrell W. Sander of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows Dec. 23, 2011, at St. John's United Church of Christ. Dr. Rodney Pensel and David E. Schaffner performed the ceremony.
A reception followed at the church, hosted by daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jeff Craft, and granddaughter, Alisha Craft.

Sander and Ruth Ann Heider were married Dec. 23, 1961, at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson, by M.A. Torbitsky.
He is the son of the late Edwin W. and Ida Sander. Ruth Ann is the daughter of Arlyn N. Heider and the late Albert F. Heider.
