Ressel - 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ressel of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception and dinner May 3, 2014, at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Jerome and the former Dorothy Steimle were married May 2, 1964, at St. Mary's Cathedral, by the Rev. Raymond Kunkel. Their attendants were Mary Loos, Ann Hinton, Betty Mueller Landre, Leonard Diebold, Wilfred Ressel and James Ressel.

The couple has three daughters, Denise Pittman and Brenda (Robert) Lewis of Jackson, and Teresa Ressel of Bonne Terre, Missouri. They have five granddaughters, Audrey, Kate and Anna Lewis, and Ashley and Michaela Pittman.
