Reid and Shelba Neace were married April 11, 1958, in Cape Girardeau. They lived in Dutchtown and Cape Girardeau, before moving to Jackson in 2002.

They have two children, Terry (Lori) Reid, and Patricia (Mitch) Herod of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, T.J. and Alex Reid; Chad, Kerri Jo and Sean Bard; and two great-grandchildren.
