Pope - 60 years

ORAN, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pope of Oran celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Delmonico's in Jackson.

Kenneth and the former Viva Jean Eakin were married Aug. 28, 1953, at Garden Ridge General Baptist Church near Bell City, Mo. Their attendants were Tyree and Frances Eakin Brown.

They have two children, Kimberly Fitts and husband Allen of Dexter, Mo., and Marty Pope and wife Carla of Cape Girardeau. The Popes have five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jordan and Daniel Fitts, Abigail and Adam Pope.
