MORLEY, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Phillips of Morley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception July 8, 2007, at Morley Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
Hosts were their children, Kathy (Jim) Blevins of Chaffee, Mo., and Delbert (Sondra) Phillips of Scott City.
Approximately 80 guests attended from Missouri, Illinois and Tennessee.

Phillips and Mary Ann Smith were married July 5, 1947, at Morley Baptist Church Parsonage, by the Rev. B.G. Corn. Their attendants were William and Wanda Mae Penrose, brother-in-law and sister of Mrs. Phillips.
The couple has seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A son, David Phillips, died in 1986.
