MCCLURE, Ill. — Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Phillips of McClure celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise dinner party Dec. 27, 2008, at Drury Lodge. Hosts were their children.
Phillips and Barbara Lindsay were married Dec. 27, 1958, by the Rev. Edgar Vance at First Presbyterian Church in Alton, Ill.
Their attendants were Donna Barth, the bride's sister, and Don Phillips, the groom's brother.
The couple's children and spouses are: Renee and David Day of Memphis, Tenn., Sheila and Doug Dorsey of St. Louis, Ken Phillips of McClure, Kristi and Brian Rowan of Olive Branch, Miss., Kirk and Lee Phillips of Shelbyville, Ky., Clay Phillips of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kyle and Gretchen Phillips of Oakland, Ill., and Gretch and Daryl Bunch of Anna, Ill.
They also have eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
