A suite of offices in the Medical Arts Building, 937 Broadway, has been donated to Southeast Missouri Hospital by Dr. James A. Kinder; his top floor offices now are home for the hospital's Fitness and Wellness Center; Kinder's new offices are at 1435 Mount Auburn Road.
Campaigns are starting to heat up in Southeast Missouri as candidates for county offices work toward the general election seven weeks from tomorrow; in Cape Girardeau County, there are only three races on the Nov. 6 ballot: Circuit clerk, recorder of deeds and Division III associate circuit judge.

The city council has issued a permit to Bee Line Transport Corp. of Danville, Illinois, to operate a motor bus system on the streets of Cape Girardeau; a separate corporation, to be known as the Cape Girardeau Transit Corp., will be organized here to operate the bus system; it likely will require 60 to 90 days to get the system into operation.
While political campaigning won't be taboo next week at the SEMO District Fair, organizers say there will be no loud blasts from a public address system endorsing candidates, nor will hopefuls be allowed to tack their photos and placards up on trees and buildings on the fairgrounds; candidates can't be prevented from passing out small pocket cards.
Little Anna Daugherty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Daugherty, who moved to Cape Girardeau from Egypt Mills several months ago so that their children could have the benefits of the public schools here, fell from a lawn swing at her home on Jefferson Avenue yesterday and broke two bones in her left arm.
Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Dale returned last night from Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they spent the summer months in the mountains; because of Mrs. Dale's ill health, she always spends the summer months in Colorado; her husband accompanied her on her last trip west and remained with her.
