The city of Cape Girardeau is ready to submit a proposal to Frisco that the railroad pay $300 per month for the privilege of operating on city property; its the latest proposal in the ongoing railroad franchise and easement discussions; Frisco's franchise to operate here expired more than a year ago.

J.H. Crockett's seven-passenger Chandler automobile caught fire on the Rock Levee Road yesterday evening and was destroyed; the flames started somewhere around the engine, and when Crockett discovered them, he and several passengers were compelled to leave the car and stand nearby and watch the flames consume the vehicle.
Scott County Court is advertising for bids for the construction of a bridge over the Ramsey Creek diversion channel on the Rock Levee Road north of Kelso, Missouri; both the court and the Little River Drainage District contend the other should pay for the bridge.
