The Delta School District has trimmed its budget and is asking voters to approve a 61-cent tax increase in an effort to keep the school system operating. Voters will decide April 7 about the tax increase.
BENTON, Mo. -- Scott County officials have abandoned the idea of relocating the sheriff's office to temporary quarters until a more permanent facility can be planned and built. Instead, county commissioners are looking to upgrade the aging sheriff's office, including shoring up its sagging floor.
