Dr. David J. Westrich, a Cape Girardeau ophthalmologist and retinal surgeon, has established a new facility here to care for patients with diabetic eye disease and diseases of the posterior eye where the retina and vitreous are located; Cape Retinal Surgery Center is at 19 Doctors' Park.
The Cape Girardeau City Council, honoring previous commitments, has approved fire protection for the industrial park south of the city on a temporary basis, pending a complete study of the city's fire-fighting facilities by the Missouri Inspection Bureau and a legal opinion by specially-retained counsel; the four industries at the tract -- Newth Rubber Co., Arkansas-Best Freight Co., Superior Electric Co. and Cape Supply Co. -- will pay the city $50 per call.
The new Rust and Martin home furnishings store on Highway 61 South will open for business tomorrow; the business was started 34 years ago as an upholstery shop by Wayne Rust and Bill Martin.
The two-week revival meeting at First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. C. Gordon Bayless of Pampa, Texas, closes in the evening; 60 people joined the church during the campaign.

Robert Stevens, son of former policeman W.C. Stevens of Cape Girardeau, is believed to be among the United States troops now on Mexican soil hunting the bandit Poncho Villa; when last heard from by his father, young Stevens was with the Sixth Infantry, located at El Paso, Texas.
Mrs. Mabel M. Ringo of Oran, Missouri, has purchased a lot from L.R. Johnson out of his college farm property north of the Normal School; she plans to immediately build a house there for herself and her three children.
