The McMurray Construction Co., which has the contract for building the sea wall along the riverfront here, has decided to abandon the work for several months, at least until the river falls to a low level; Frank Campfield, a timekeeper for McMurray, will remain here to watch over the property during the daytime, while another employee will look after it at night; about 500 feet of the sea wall has been completed, with another 100 feet to go.
Incorporation papers for a new bank in Cape Girardeau, to be known as the Citizens Exchange Bank, were filed at Jackson this week; shareholders in the firm are Charles H. Overstolz, L.C. Hamm, Robert H. Ruehmann, A.R. Zoelsmann and W.E. Yount.
