BENTON, Mo. -- A Kelso, Missouri-area family has been cut off from its home since a bridge washed out in December; following a three-hour meeting between Robert and Betty Ressel and their supporters and Scott County officials who are responsible for rebuilding the bridge, the Ressels say they will seek a declaratory judgment in Scott County Circuit Court.

Several Broadway stores are getting makeovers; new fronts are being installed on the Auto Tire & Parts store at 501 Broadway and the Dormeyer drug store in the Idan-Ha Hotel building; J.H. Metzler also is having an improved front constructed at his shoe repair shop, 514 Broadway.
Mrs. Eli J. Forsythe, wife of the evangelist who is conducting a big revival here, spoke to a gathering of Cape Girardeau's businesswomen and members of Centenary Methodist Church last evening; concluding the get-together were several vocal selections by Charles and Roy Forsythe.
Commencement exercises at St. Vincent's Young Ladies Academy will be Monday and Tuesday; it not only commemorates the 77th anniversary of the school in Cape Girardeau, but it marks a record year in school attendance; graduating from the Sisters of Loretto school will be Louise Schaefer, Grace Campbell, Gertrude Finney and Lucille Roberts.
