Missouri Supreme Court Judge Edward D. Robertson Jr. is the guest speaker at the annual Old McKendree Chapel meeting in the afternoon near Jackson; music for the outdoor service is provided by the choir from Grace United Methodist Church of Cape Girardeau.

The newly installed pipe organ at St. Mark Lutheran Church is dedicated; the organ was built and installed by Clifford Bequelin, a retired organ builder who resides in Cape Girardeau.

The bypassing of Cape Girardeau by two Ozark Airline flights because the runway is too short for the larger planes could be a sign of more serious problems to the airline service here; Ozark, which serves Cape Girardeau with DC-3 airplanes, dropped two of its four flights here because they are now operated with larger Convair aircraft; Ozark says it will operate nothing larger than a DC-3 on Cape Girardeau's 4,000-foot runway.

Preliminary steps toward the establishment of a mission of Trinity Lutheran Church in the Smelterville suburb have been taken, and the Rev. G.E. German, a ministerial candidate and graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, is here making the canvas of families to determine the Lutheran population in that section of town.

Dr. Fred M. Bailey of St. Louis, district superintendent of the Methodist Episcopal Church, is speaker at the morning services at Grace Methodist Episcopal Church; afterward, a basket dinner is held at Scivally Park.
