The program at the weekly union service at Courthouse Park in the evening departs from the usual form with the YMCA Gospel Team of State College having charge of the worship service; presiding is Sidney Kimbell, YMCA president.

Burglars paid G. Hartung a visit last night at his Broadway and Frederick Street gun shop; they took away five fine firearms and a considerable quantity of loaded shells; entry was gained in the rear of the building, where burglars cut around a pane of glass in a window, removed it and unlocked the window.

A.C. Slinkard, for a long time connected with the Waters-Pierce Oil Co. in Cape Girardeau, has been promoted to the management of the company's plant at Kennett, Mo.
