The Rev. and Mrs. R.D. Peterson of Cape Girardeau are scheduled to leave tomorrow for Huntington, Texas, where he will be pastor of Huntington Methodist Church, one of Texas Conference churches; his place will be taken at Third Street Church and Hobbs Chapel by the Rev. Frank Black, at present pastor of Methodist church at Ellington, Mo.
Installation of new deanery spiritual director, the Rev. August A. Echoff of Jackson, is conducted in afternoon at meeting of Archdiocesan Deanery Council of Catholic Men at St. Lawrence Church in New Hamburg; Eckhoff was appointed recently by Archbishop Joseph E. Ritter.

Cape Girardeau City Council, at special session, fixes tax levy for municipal purposes for coming year at 74 cents on $100 valuation; considering city, state, county and school rates, Girardeans will pay taxes on total levy of $3.09 on the $100 valuation.
Under favorable weather conditions, paving on Lorimier Street with amiesite will be completed in about six more days, says M.J. Wragg of Missouri Amiesite Co., contractor for building street.
