MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Houston A. Long, 27-year-old farmer, was killed on his farm near Cape Girardeau County line late yesterday when he was struck by lightning as he was driving his team from field; one of horses attached to wagon was killed and other injured.
Announcement is made of establishment of Girardeau Fur Farms Inc.; farm will be on 101-acre tract south of city just north of Diversion Channel; firm will be devoted to raising of black muskrat, breed of species which is desirable because of its high-grade pelt.
