The Cape Girardeau City Council is considering authorizing the sale of four acres of land at the municipal airport to Cimron Inc., a San Diego electronics company that has proposed establishing a plant on the site.

City Attorney Stephen N. Limbaugh says it is his opinion that the Cape Girardeau City Council and the Cape Girardeau County Court have equal rights in the disposition of space in the Common Pleas Courthouse and neither can make a decision on the matter without the approval of the other; he makes his remarks in reference to the present controversy over the county collector's office.

Dr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Serena are here for a few weeks, occupying the tourist property on U.S. 61 owned by Mrs. Serena; they have been stationed at Norman, Oklahoma, nearly three years, where Dr. Serena is in charge of a large Christian church that mainly serves the state university student body; now, however, he is planning to accept an offer of a regular pastorate.

Police arrest an 18-year-old, who admits to stealing Mayor Edward L. Drum's automobile from in front of his house at 834 Merriwether St.; the youth hid the 1932 Plymouth Coupe in the woods near Kage School.

1914

Martha Jean and son Fred Jean, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, left yesterday for their home after a pleasant stay of several months with Ethel Cooter.

Mildred Dement, who has been attending the high school here the past year, leaves in the morning for her home in Buchanon, Bollinger County, Missouri; she is a niece of James Kinder, the Haarig druggist, and has been making her home with the Kinder family while here.
