PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- A sometimes-bitter dispute over the hiring of a new superintendent for the Perryville School District, which had led to the division of the district's board, comes to a head with the resignation of two board members, Orville Schaefer and Dale Thieret.

The Rev. A. Wilder being away from the city preaching at Doniphan, Mo., his pulpit at Trinity Lutheran Church is filled by the Rev. George Kirshke of Hanover Lutheran Church.
The Christian Church Bible school and congregation meet in the morning at the church and, after Sunday school exercises and the taking of communion by members, are transported to the old fairgrounds, where church services are held on the grassy slope on the south side of the old race track.
