Nuclear freeze was the target of debate at a panel discussion last night, which marked the end of "Ground Zero Week" on the Southeast Missouri State University campus; it was billed as a panel discussion on the arms race, but it quickly zeroed in on the pros and cons of a nuclear freeze.

As "a last resort," it is suggested to the Frisco Railroad that instead of withdrawing the two night trains from Cape Girardeau, it arrange to stop them at the Tower Grove station in St. Louis so as to avoid the heavy charges imposed for use of the Union Station.

Weather permitting, manager William Sullivan will take his Capahas to Fredericktown, Mo., tomorrow in an exhibition baseball game.
Clarence Bergmann has been released from the Springfield, Mo., camp of the St. Louis Cardinals as the cutting down process continues there; he is en route home to Perryville, Mo.; Tubby Koch, Cape Girardeau's representative at the camp, is still in the field and may be sent to either Springfield, Ill., or Greensboro, N.C.

Manager V. Goldbaum of the Capahas is trying his best to arrange a baseball game for his club Sunday afternoon; he tried to inveigle the Chaffee, Mo., boys into a game, but they refused to come; likewise, he has been turned down by teams from Millersville, Perryville, Mo., and Advance, Mo.; everyone wants to wait until they get in the best trim before tackling the Caps.
The steamer Grey Eagle came up from Commerce, Mo., yesterday at 2 p.m. and then went down again later to Manning's Landing for a bunch of cattle and mules.
