Cape Girardeau city officials are seeking a $1 million state loan to help finance construction of a trunk sewer line; the Missouri Industrial Development Board loan would be just one source of funding for the $1.95 million, first section of the phase-three sewer project, which would extend sewers to the northwest part of the community.
Roger Tatum, who has served as principal at Kelly High School the past two years, has been named superintendent of the Oak Ridge School District.

Mr. and Mrs. Theodore J.E. Umbeck and daughters, Jonella, Vesta and Margaret Rose, with their Austrian nurse, arrive on the noon train to visit Mrs. Umbeck's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E.
